WAG World Championships Squad Announced

Crowd favorite and 2018 Commonwealth Games medalist Georgia Rose Brown will return to the floor as part of Australia’s WAG contingent named today as part of the 51st FIG World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Liverpool.

After taking some time away from the sport, Georgia is part of the 7- strong squad which will be flying to Liverpool at the end of October. She will be joined by all five of our 2022 Commonwealth Games teammates who will be returning to the UK less than two/three months after their amazing competition.

Georgia  Godwin, who took home five medals in Birmingham, will be looking to emulate that success, as will Gold Medalist Kate McDonald. Romi Brown, Breanna Scott and Emily Whitehead, all members of the WAG team which won Silver in Birmingham, will be looking to take home one of the 14 world titles on offer at the competition.

Queenslander Kate Sayer will be the non-travelling reserve for the team, with the final team selection will occur at the staging camp in Manchester prior to competition.

The coaching squad will be announced closer to competition.

Congratulations to all our incredible gymnasts selected.
