GYMNASTICS COACH
Employment Type:  Casual (full-time may be available for the right candidate).
25.00  to 35.00 per hour + super

Here at Bowen Hills we have a large recreational gymnastics program that operates for 48 weeks of the year – giving you employment throughout the mid-year school holidays! With the central location of Bowen Hills we have undercover parking available on site as well as a train station within walking distance!

THE ROLE
YMCA Bowen Hills Fitness and Recreation Centre are seeking 2021 Gymnastics Coaches to join our team from Kindy, Recreational and WAG/MAG. If you have experience in this field, a ‘coaches who care’ attitude that wants to bring out the best in our children then you might be our next team member!  Come and be part of a dynamic team with great personal development opportunities!
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Gymnastics Coach, your key responsibilities will include:- Timely set-up of gymnastics equipment and commencement of the class; 
- Teach gymnastics through the use of suitable progressions and lesson plans in accordance with the YMCA's Mission Statement, Policies and Procedures and the requirements of Gymnastics Australia; 
- Prepared gymnasts for testing or competition within the timeframe on the coaching plan;
- Assist with supervising children during warm up and ensure safety of all children.
ABOUT YOU
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following selection criteria: - Gymnastics Coaching Qualifications (Minimum of intermediate qualification);
- Current Technical Membership with Gymnastics Australia;
- Demonstrated knowledge and practice experience in all aspects of gymnastics; 
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team;
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills;  
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificates or a willingness to obtain.

MAG GYMNASTICS COACH

YMCA Bowen Hills Fitness and Recreation Centre are seeking an experienced MAG coach for 2021. If you have a passion for developing MAG students and passion to grow the program then we would love to hear from you!

As a MAG Gymnastics Coach, your key responsibilities will include:- Timely set-up of gymnastics equipment and commencement of the class; 
- Teach gymnastics through the use of suitable progressions and lesson plans in accordance with the YMCA's Mission Statement, Policies and Procedures and the requirements of Gymnastics Australia; 
- Prepared gymnasts for testing or competition within the timeframe on the coaching plan;
- Assist with supervising children during warm up and ensure safety of all children.
